The D.J. portrait WIP #1

I thought I'd start the day off sharing another portrait. The D.J. will be done on my favorite warm gray Canson paper with NuPastels, Rembrandt's, Great Americans, and Tery Ludwig's.I've started with some general background colors of greens and violets pushing it to all four sides.

Since everyone is starting to paint their spring pictures I dug into my "photo" file and found some lilacs from last spring. This is 8"x8" painted on Gray Canson paper with my favorite selection of NuPastels, Rembrandts and Great Americans.
I also need to get back on track and finish up my Mountain Flower Series...maybe one tomorrow!

The Green Cap

Happy Valentines Day!! This painting was done using "Reflective Times" as the sketch. It was painted on Wallis paper mounted on foamcore with NuPastels, Rembrandts, Terry Ludwigs and Great Americans. It will be entered in the Vandewark miniature Art exhibit with the Western Spirit Art Show and Sale in Cheyenne during March.

This is the second ACEO painting in the series. The foreground is a lot simplier and just a suggestion of the flowers... I liked the idea of the fog in the middle ground.
