Yesterday was a busy one...had our drawing session in the morning in Loveland and afterwards we headed up to Estes Park for an art show at the Link Gallery. We spent the night in the old Stanley Hotel which is best known for Stephan Kurbrick's movie "The Shining".... Our room was #215 and the one Stephan King used to write his novel was #217. It was interesting to see all the kids going around with their phones and digitial cameras trying to get a shot of one of the many ghosts that reside at the hotel...!!

Little Blue

Earlier this summer while I was working out in the yard, the neighbor lady stopped to chat. While we were having a great conversation, a Blue Jay flew down and landed on her head sending my neighbor into a real panic. I wasn't for sure how to handle the situation but I just held up my finger and the bird immediately jumped on it. The jay spent the good part of the afternoon in my yard and occasionally would fly down from the tree and land on my shoulder while I was working!
