Very beautiful, Mike! The colors are lovely! I have a question. Is there a way to keep a soft pastel painting safe other than fixing and framing it? Even while framing, as I have experienced, single matting doesn't help very much!
Mike enjoys painting a variety of subject matter in both pastels and oils. Born in Colorado, raised in England, he has spent the last 43 years in Wyoming. Mike’s work has won several awards in both regional and national exhibits and his paintings hang in private collections around the world. He has been selected three times in the Pastel Journal's Top 100 Annual Competition for his portrait, figurative and still life work. Mike is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of Colorado; he is also a member of the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies and the Degas Pastel Society.

Lovely. It has a certain "oil painting" quality to it. Is that MiTientes?
You haven't posted for a while.
Wow--love the color combo in this one, Mike! Your loose strokes are so lush and painterly. Very nice...

Stunning painting. I have not used my pastels in several years. Sunflowers are always a winner.
